Squashed backup commit (no shallow-clone history issues) of xiaomi-mt6833-dev/kernel_xiaomi_mt6833 (lineage-23.2 branch, upstream commit 9eece662e) plus all fixes applied to get everpal_defconfig building clean against a modern (GCC 15.2.0) toolchain -- see the previous commit message on the lineage-23.2 branch (also in this repo history is not available here since this is a squashed snapshot; full incremental history lives in the local DL380 checkout and the upstream GitHub remote). What: dv1394 (a.k.a. "OHCI-DV I/O support" for FireWire)
Date: May 2010 (scheduled), finally removed in kernel v2.6.37
Contact: linux1394-devel@lists.sourceforge.net
Description:
/dev/dv1394/* were character device files, one for each FireWire
controller and for NTSC and PAL respectively, from which DV data
could be received by read() or transmitted by write(). A few
ioctl()s allowed limited control.
This special-purpose interface has been superseded by libraw1394 +
libiec61883 which are functionally equivalent, support HDV, and
transparently work on top of the newer firewire kernel drivers.
