Squashed backup commit (no shallow-clone history issues) of xiaomi-mt6833-dev/kernel_xiaomi_mt6833 (lineage-23.2 branch, upstream commit 9eece662e) plus all fixes applied to get everpal_defconfig building clean against a modern (GCC 15.2.0) toolchain -- see the previous commit message on the lineage-23.2 branch (also in this repo history is not available here since this is a squashed snapshot; full incremental history lives in the local DL380 checkout and the upstream GitHub remote). * Memory barrier.
* The sync instruction guarantees that all memory accesses initiated
* by this processor have been performed (with respect to all other
* mechanisms that access memory). The eieio instruction is a barrier
* providing an ordering (separately) for (a) cacheable stores and (b)
* loads and stores to non-cacheable memory (e.g. I/O devices).
*
* mb() prevents loads and stores being reordered across this point.
* rmb() prevents loads being reordered across this point.
* wmb() prevents stores being reordered across this point.
*
* *mb() variants without smp_ prefix must order all types of memory
* operations with one another. sync is the only instruction sufficient
* to do this.
